ANNA Wisconsin Chapter 304

Hurricaine Harvey Relief

Posted almost 8 years ago by Debbie Bowe

ANNA is working with members, chapters, volunteers, and the dialysis community to determine how we can best support the members of the kidney community who are impacted by the Hurricane. We've learned from past natural disasters that one of the best ways we can help is by connecting members with resources that are coordinating the relief efforts. Resources can be found on ANNA’s Website. ANNA is an active participant of the Kidney Coalition for Emergency Response (KCER) which provides technical assistance to End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Networks, kidney organizations, and other groups to ensure timely and efficient disaster preparedness, response, and recovery for the kidney community. In addition, the American Kidney Fund has activated its Disaster Relief Program for dialysis patients. If you would like to share your thoughts of support, we encourage you to post on ANNA’s Facebook page. In addition, the American Red Cross is accepting financial donations to assist people who are affected by the Hurricane. Despite the flooding and destruction from Hurricane Harvey, it's been inspiring to see first responders, nurses, and other caregivers who have stepped up to assist in the recovery efforts. We owe these courageous individuals our sincerest gratitude for the work they do.
